Ngā Manu Kōrero, a prestigious speech competition for secondary students, serves as a significant platform for nurturing young leaders and preserving the Māori language. The competition promotes fluency in both te reo Māori and English while instilling a sense of responsibility in students towards their culture and communities. The event will be hosted by Haeata Community Campus. 240 Breezes Rd, Aranui, Christchurch.

Friday 7 June (livestreamed, excluding Prizegiving)

Senior Stage (Prepared) Pei te Hurinui and Korimako, beings at 9.00am – 5.05pm (lunch break 1.10pm – 1.40pm)

Junior Stage (Prepared) Rāwhiti Ihaka and Sir Turi Carroll speeches begins at 9.30am – 4.20pm (lunch break 1.10pm – 1.40pm)

Prizegiving (will not be livestreamed) but results posted up on our website and social media platforms.
